Indian weddings are known for their grandeur and elaborate nature. Buying a sari for each event can be extremely expensive and cumbersome given the limited options, especially for first-time sari wearers.
Founded in 2011, Sari Closet offers luxurious designer saris for rent, and delivers an affordable way for consumers to flaunt a new outfit at every formal event. One of the latest additions to Sari Closet is a new bridal line, complete with bridesmaid saris and bridal lehngas. “Partnering with designers was the next logical step,” says Nisha Patel, CEO of Sari Closet. “And given the need for saris at weddings, introducing a bridal line with a company like SWATI with proven experience made sense.”
“Many of our customers are not of Indian heritage. They come to Sari Closet not only because renting makes sense but also because we service customers nationwide,” says Nisha.
The new bridal line boasts a variety of bridesmaids’ saris offered in sets of six. The saris are designed in a way for brides to easily mix and match should they need more than six for their special day. “It is not okay for the bridesmaids to have outfits that don’t match up to the exclusivity of the bride’s attire. Because of Sari Closet’s rental service, SWATI Couture’s finest, high quality and fashionable saris are available for bridesmaids to be a part of the opulent bridal entourage,” says Swati Kapoor of SWATI Couture.
Sari Closet offers free dry cleaning and roundtrip shipping, as well as the services of their resident sari experts or “saristas.” The saristas offer assistance for everything from choosing the right sari to learning how to drape one. Sari Closet also offers in-person draping services as well – perfect for any bridal party.
